Philly on Labor Day

Roommate and I went to Philly on Labor Day. Greyhound has this great deal where you can go to Philly from the Port Authority in NYC for only $20 roundtrip. I highly recommend it, it's so cheap and convenient! I've never been to Philly but roommate said that it is very similar to Boston, which I agreed once we were there and walking the streets of Phillaayyy. All cobblestone and townhouses, very serene.
Of course we went to South Philly to get those famous cheesesteaks. First stop we went to Geno's, it was very good but like an idiot I put wayyyy too much hot sauce on my cheesesteak, thus ruining it and i had to buy another one. I have a very high tolerance of spicyness- nothing ever seems to be spicy enough but boy, was I pleasantly surprised. But it was so spicy i couldnt eat it, my eyes were watering and people walking by thought i was crying. and my lips were so red and puffy. So, if you ever go to Geno's, don't use three squirts of hot sauce like i did, one does the trick. So, since i had to buy another cheesesteak, I went across the street to Pat's. I personally like Pat's better (and no hot sauce this time). there is more meat in Pat's, i just prefered it more. I'm such a little fat kid though, of course I got food grease on my dress when we were there.
In the above pics, roommate and i are in Rittenhouse Square Park. It's so nice to just lay on the grass outside with the sun shining on you! At our apt all we have is a cement yard- not too relaxing.
