So i've been reading/hearing/watching some disturbing/unsettling news regarding my beloved.
On defense, they have Richard Seymour out for at least 6 games due to an injury. Richard seymour is a key guy in their defense, he's smart, quick thinking, and athletically gifted being fast enough to run/make blocks and strong enough to stop atleast 2 offensive linemen depending on the situation.
also on defense, they have rodney harrison out bc he confessed to Goodell that he had taken HGH (dumbass why'd you have to reveal that?!?!). rodney is a great corner: he can read the quarterback and be on top of the receiver to get interceptions and is fast.
now i've been reading on espn.com and on nfl.com that the jets have been taking in newly released pats players to "converse" and "chat." they've brought in reche caldwell, a former pats WR, who has just been released from the roster. now, the jets don't have any interest in signing another WR when they are already 6 deep with the first 4 being totally capable of handling the receiving game. they're just interested in what a recently released WR from a rival team has to say about his former team. i can just see coach mangini, "hello caldwell! you know, you and i are in the same boat. i understand how it feels to be rebuffed by a guy you thought you could look up to and trust. i took the high road and i feel i'm in a better place as head coach of the ny jets, the pats division rivals. i understand your frustration, please vent to me. and while you're at it, what schemes do the pats have that i can look forward to for the week 1 season opener game on sunday?" AAAAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
the jets also brought in defensive back Atrell Hawkins to "chat." here's my take on what mangini said to hawkins: "well hello mr. hawkins! long time no see, remember me? you're former defensive coordinator? your buddy, your man? ahhh how are things going? oh not so well now that you have a job right? oh yes, i understand your frustration. remember this is totally off the books, but what have you been doing over there? why kind of drills/runs are they making you do? oh you don't say? oh well, why don't we hang out again sat night before the season 1 opener? oh i know, it's painful not to have a job, but we may have one here at the meadowlands for you if you just keep telling me what you've been doing over in foxboro..."
ugh, i'm seriously frustrated, annoyed, and extremely excited for a great game this sunday!!!
